Once your son/daughter has a place at nursery, we ask that you help with the day to day organisation in a number of ways.

Our register system is now computerised, as at other schools.  Each week we will send you a print out of any unauthorised absences to date.  Please complete this and return to the office.

Northfleet Nursery is a stand alone Kent County Council fully funded nursery that provides free nursery education for children from 3-5yrs. Our school is an inclusive school that supports all children with individual needs

We provide part-time sessions from 9.00am – 11.30am and 1.00pm – 3.30pm Monday to Friday.

We have well qualified staff which includes teachers, nursery nurses and teaching assistants that support the children’s learning.

The Nursery plays an important part in the community and has been established for 60yrs. It has warm and friendly atmosphere where parents and families feel valued and welcomed. We have provided highly recognised and good quality education to several generations of families.

Our children come from varied cultural background and we welcome and celebrate the wealth of experiences that the children bring from different cultures.

Dear parents and Carers,

Welcome to Northfleet Nursery school website and thank you for your interest. This website provides a range of information about the school that we hope you will find useful and be a value to you.

Our Nursery is a happy place where all children learn to respect one another, work and play together co-operatively and enjoy learning through play.
We provide a broad, balanced and interesting curriculum that is differentiated to meet the needs of all children which enables children to develop their full potential in all areas of learning this is delivered through Foundation Stage curriculum and High scope.

We believe that children learn best when they feel safe, secure and welcomed where the environment is inviting, stimulating and challenging for children to learn, take risk and make mistakes. Our children are polite, kind and understanding of each other and their needs. We encourage, praise and support as well as celebrate their success and achievements. Our staff all ensure that all our children feel special, cared for and important by listening to them and responding to their needs so that they get a good start to their first schooling experience.

At Northfleet Nursery we have very good partnership with Parents & Carers as we know Parents are children’s first educators and because of this children settle quickly, develop their confidence and achieve their full potential.

Our school is very much multicultural surrounded by wonderful rich community and our children come with wide cultural experiences and backgrounds. Our whole community with Governors, Parents, carers, neighbourhood all play an important part within our school.
